| This is what replaced the old free standing stove. I love the stainless steel cooktop as its easy to keep clean. The oven is great . The rangehood is the only disappointment in the whole kitchen as it is very noisy. |

The other side of the kitchen.
The cupboards are the original. What we did was add moulding to the doors and a deep moulding on top of the base cupboards to give the bench top extra height as the cupboards were the old 70's standard height. Gave me a backache standing at them and I'm not tall. The upper cupboards also had a crown moulding added. Then I went to work and sanded and painted the cupboards. The cupboards have had 5 coats of paint they included 2 coats of primer 2 coats of acrylic paint and 1 coat of glaze . The reason I used a glaze was that the timber I was dealing with was old and imperfect. A glaze hides problems and imperfections and is very easy to keep clean. The cupboards have really stood up to the test of time.

| This is where the old stove stood .The new stove was under bench so new cabinetry need to be made for here. Tomorrow I'll post some photo's of what the kitchen looks like today. |
