The Real Me

This is me on the front cover of the latest Handmade Magazine. I have been contributing articles to this magaazine and her sister publications for around 10 years. The time has flown and I've really enjoyed the journey. I must say my projects have made the front cover of thpublication before but not my face a little scary.

  6. Congratulations-that is such an honor!

Thank you for visiting me and to answer your question about our garden-all the plants we grow are hardy and survive well.Snow is actually a protection in winter as it insulates,it is a freeze ,thaw winter like this one that is harder on the plants.
    Take care,

  7. I'm back! Thanks for visiting and I am sorry about the confusion on the snow-we have had snow falls a few times this winter but then followed by rain a few days later melting it all away. Usually we get some snow storms where we get high winds and snow shutting down schools and businesses for the day. Several years ago we sometimes had 3 storms in a week-the kids did love that!Over the years our winters have been less severe. The good thing is our homes are insulated and we keep warm and cozy indoors and bundle up warm for the cold days.
    Take care,
    Carolyn

  8. Karen you star! I'm so late visiting but it's kinda neat seeing the date on this post - my birthday! MOTH's been up your way this week helping prepare my beloved Aunt's house in Karri Drive for sale. It's the end of an era for us, as she & my uncle built the house in 1962 & she's been there ever since.
